Better Places for People
Colin is the Project Manager for WorldGBC’s Better Places for People, a global campaign to increase the supply and demand of green buildings which are healthy – those which positively impact the health of those who occupy them.
He manages the day-to-day operations of the campaign, including the working groups focused on healthy offices and healthy residential, and works with members from Green Building Councils, sponsors, and other partners. He also oversees pilot projects to implement indoor air quality testing in offices, and the development of a number of deliverables that aim to build the business case for healthy buildings.
Prior to joining WorldGBC, Colin worked in a number of technical sustainability roles, in areas including greenhouse gas and airborne pollutant quantification and management, drinking water and wastewater treatment, and solid waste management.
Colin will soon complete a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada, with a focus on the computer modeling of the ultraviolet (UV) wastewater disinfection process. He also holds a MASc in Financial Engineering from the University of Toronto.
